From Rural Roots to Global Recognition: How EdTech Transforms Classrooms

At Mokhudu Creations, we believe that every teacher—regardless of location, resources, or background—has the power to change lives. This belief isn’t just a slogan. It’s a lived reality. It’s the story of a South African teacher who rose from a rural classroom to the global stage, using technology not as a luxury, but as a lifeline.

🌍 A Journey That Inspires Thousands

In a small village in Limpopo, where chalkboards and textbooks were once the only tools available, one teacher dared to dream bigger. With limited access to devices and internet, she began integrating ICT into her lessons—starting with her own mobile phone. Her learners, many of whom had never touched a computer, began exploring digital worlds, building skills, and gaining confidence.

That teacher was Mokhudu Cynthia Machaba, founder of Mokhudu Creations and finalist for the Global Teacher Prize 2020.

Her story is a testament to what’s possible when passion meets purpose.

💻 Why ICT Matters—Especially in Rural Schools

Technology in education isn’t just about flashy apps or expensive gadgets. It’s about:

  • Access: Giving learners a window to the world
  • Equity: Leveling the playing field for rural and under-resourced schools
  • Empowerment: Helping teachers grow professionally and creatively
  • Engagement: Making learning interactive, visual, and fun

Through Mokhudu Creations, we design resources that help teachers use ICT meaningfully—whether it’s through Moodle, H5P, PowerPoint games, or mobile-friendly tools.

What We Offer

  • CAPS-aligned digital lesson plans
  • Interactive activities and games
